Les Nubians, Author: The singing sisters of Les Nubians, Helene and Célia Faussart, were born in Paris, grew up in Africa, produced the first-ever spoken word event in Bordeaux, France, and debuted on the charts with their hit single “Makeda.” During the first Les Nubians tour, they organized a national poetry casting call, finding many talented poets from around the world, including Souleymane Diamanka, Queen Godls, John Banzaï, Jamarhl Crawford, and Nazelah Jamison.
